So, this is apparently where I am to tell you a little bit about myself. I’m already sweating. I’ve never been good at this. Every attempt I’ve ever made to sum myself up in a few words has failed miserably. I think my Facebook about-me-quote-or-whatever-thing still reads “uh… I don’t know.”
Anyway (I was really tempted to write anyways here, but I’m hugely insecure so I googled it first and found this, so I’m not going to use it ever again (Oh, and I like parentheses)), I’m Sunna. Born and raised on an island roughly the size of Kentucky, but much less conveniently located – in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, that is. I’m Icelandic. We’re mainly known for landscapes like this, eccentric singers who dress up as swans, a preoccupation with elves (no link here, apparently they’re not too keen on being photographed), and sweaters that irritate most everyone’s skin, although we would never admit it.
Iceland is pretty great. I quite like it. However, I daydream constantly about other places to go, unknown food to taste, things to see, etc., etc. So, I thought I might enjoy a bit of escapism here. I named the blog (which took me about five weeks, as I am the most typical Libra in the world and have a huge problem making up my mind about stuff. Like, all stuff.) after the song Moon River, which I like. Most of all the one line that reads: There’s such a lot of world to see. There is, isn’t there? Hopefully, I’ll get to see quite a bit of it. The rest I’ll dream about. Out loud. Right here.
